Notes:
On the Eastern edge of Speyside at Kennethmont between the River Bogie, the Clashindarroch Forest and the foothills of the Grampian mountains lies Ardmore Distillery.
It was founded in 1898 just before the collapse of the whisky market a year later due to over supply. Its survival can be attributed to the fact that it was built to maintain malt supplies for Teachers' Highland Cream.
Ardmore is from the Gaelic, Ard-moi, meaning "big slope".

Tasting note:
Colouor: Pale yellow.

Undiluted
Nose: Closed. Sweet, malty notes with a smoky medicinal edge. Floral aromas also present.
Palate: Smoky, sweet - fudge/toffee, malty and husk flavours develop along with a peaty/medicinal element.

With water
Nose: Sweet, malty - milky coffee aromas with a touch of birch wood. Medicinal note never far away.
Paleta: Smoky - a touch metallic with some ozone character. With malty flavours and a subtle citrus fruitiness.
Body: Rounded.
Finish: Smoky with a roasted malt flavours.
Cask type: Refill Bourbon Barrels.
Whisky Style: Full flavoured with an intense smoky character.
